Lee Mathews

Worn season in and season out, Australian designer Lee Mathews makes clothing that is made to live in ones wardrobe for a while. As an expatriate of the Vogue editorial milieu, Mathews pieces are characterised by their forward looking yet functional design details  as well as their occasional bursts of bold print, both twisting a variety of brutalist motifs. In her own words, Mathews wants "to make good things that women can move and wear for a long time", manifest in the clothing lines which adhere not to the seasons but to the continuum of the Mathews vision.
